Note-writing served many purposes, but surely the number one reason for passing notes was to alleviate boredom. Here's a sample of letters that were probably just as entertaining to create as they were to receive:

Ya, and and in band class my friends would take out there phone, turn on a show with the sound off, and turned on captions.

I used to just do werid crafts with school supplies and sometimes play uno with my friend. Like after a test or somethin.
