Jason Texts

I like this sample of texts between Jason and me. I feel that they fairly illustrate the mundane AND the insane aspects of young family life.

Jason is the grey, I'm the blue.

We text a lot about food.

Sometimes you have to make inappropriate jokes to blow off steam.

We basically just bait each other whenever possible.

I torture J with inspirational, girl-power quotes when he's out of line.

Sometimes I write poetry. I have a little series of Halloween monster themed poems that I think are pretty hilarious. This one is a fresh take on the mummy.

How DARE he defile Elizabeth Bennett this way??

I'm always really proud when I clean something, so I like to show off my productivity to the one person who will truly appreciate it.

Ross is a nightmare. I love him SO much, but he is SO three. Here's a tiny compilation of life with my little honey badger boy. Keep in mind, none of these texts address the phase he went through for like 5 months where he smeared his own poo on the walls, windows, into his carpet- EVERY DAY.

Then Audrey and Ross learned how to fight with each other. That's been fun.

Fortunately, it's not all bad. Sometimes we even like our kids a little bit!
