The Road Trip

When I recall the cross-country road trip I took with Gil and Nicky, I'm surprised by two things: 1- that our parents agreed to let us go, and 2- that we bothered to ask for permission at all. It was such a great adventure.

It was during this journey that Nicky and I discovered how much it sucks to sleep in a tent. Especially in extreme humidity.

Here we are, having fun as we scratch our countless mosquito bites. Notice that the humidity has condensed so much on our sleeping bags that it's starting to saturate into water spots.

The real fun was the cool places we got to visit, and the great conversations we had on the drive to and from New York.

Our destination was the LDS church history site, Nauvoo. It was here that I learned how uninterested I am in church history. Still, I enjoyed taking in the pioneer-era buildings and beautiful scenery.

We swung up into Canada to see Niagara Falls before turning around and driving allll the way home again.

Did you ever do a long road trip with friends? Tell us about it! WBS- Jess
